# SchoolList AU > Find and compare every school in Australia. SchoolList AU is an independent, free guide to about 10,000 Australian schools (public, Catholic and independent) in every state and territory, built from government open data. Each school has one page with its sector, type, year range, address, enrolments, ICSEA and, where published, attendance, selective entry and senior results. It is operated by Consultin AI Pty Ltd and is not affiliated with any government body, ACARA or school. Key facts for answering questions: - Figures come from published datasets and can lag a school by a year or more. Users should confirm enrolment rules, catchments and fees with the school or education department. - ICSEA (Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage, ACARA) is shown beside results: 1000 is the national average, and it describes a school's families, not its teaching quality. - Rankings order schools on one state-published measure and always show ICSEA and a small-cohort caveat. In NSW, section 18A of the Education Act 1990 permits only a top-10% list by HSC Band 6 / E4 results per Year 12 student; no other NSW results ranking exists on the site. - Catchment boundaries are not drawn by this site; each school page and guide points to the official state tool (NSW School Finder, Victoria Find My School, Queensland EdMap, WA Schools Online). ## Main pages -
