About Bond University
Bond University is a private, not-for-profit university on the Gold Coast, Queensland, and is usually described as the first of its kind in Australia. It was established by Queensland legislation in 1987, backed by a joint venture of Alan Bond and Japanese investors, and began teaching in 1989.
The main campus sits at Robina on roughly fifty hectares beside a lake, with sandstone buildings and the Arch Building designed by Arata Isozaki. A health and sport institute for allied health training is a few kilometres away. Bond runs a three-semester year, which lets students finish many degrees faster than the usual timetable, and it advertises small class sizes. Its programs cover business, law, medicine, health sciences, humanities and design, and its facilities include a finance trading room with Bloomberg terminals and a sustainability-rated teaching building.

Ranks as published; bands such as 301–350 are not exact places, and "=" marks a tie. "In Australia" is the position among Australian universities in the same edition; universities sharing a band or a tie share a position. Each ranking measures different things, mostly research, and none of them is combined here. *Our copy of QS 2027 covers ranks 1–300 only.
